Films on Sant Sebastià beach every Thursday and Sunday

The cycle is set to start on 30 June with the screening of 'The Salvation'

Film fans have a date every Thursday and Sunday in front of Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta on Sant Sebastià beach. The 5th annual edition of Cinema Lliure a la Platja will feature titles like Barcelona nit d'hivern, The Lobster, El camí més llarg per tornar a casa, Victoria and Leviathan, all of which will be preceded by a short film. The cycle will begin on Thursday 30 June with the Danish western The Salvation, directed by Kristian Levring, and will close on Sunday 7 August with a film chosen by the spectators. A special session for children featuring the animated film Al sostre del món is planned for 10 July. All of these sessions are scheduled to begin at 9pm.

This free independent film cycle is organised by Associació Meduses, together with the audiovisual production company Megaproduction, and the support of a number of businesses and institutions. As well as these screenings in Barcelona, there is also a Friday programme of films in Badalona and El Prat, and Saturday screenings in Mataró.
