Tribute to flamenco at Poliorama
The shows features a selection of well-known works performed by prestigious artists.
In the heart of Barcelona’s Ramblas, Teatre Poliorama is hosting a flamenco show this August which, in the words of its promoters, is designed "to embrace the audience through warmth and the unmatched rhythms of the flamenco guitar and the strength and sensuality of Spanish dance". Guitarra y Flamenco features 75 minutes of some of the best known numbers in the genre and the flamenco guitar as the main focus, accompanied by award-winning bailaores who will astound spectators with their rhythm and energy
Although flamenco may be associated more with Andalusia, Barcelona has long relationship with the musical style, which joined the UNESCO list of examples of intangible heritage of humanity in 2010.
