Game of Thrones: The Touring Exhibition

Barcelona's Maritime Museum submerges itself in the world of 'Game of Thrones'

For the first time, Barcelona hosts the official exhibition based on the popular TV series, in which we can see objects and a recreation of the world created by George R.R. Martin.

‘Game of Thrones’ and is probably the most important, and the biggest, cultural phenomenon to emerge in the last decade. Like the 'Star Wars' saga and the 'Lord of the Rings' films, there's nothing around to match it in terms of scale. The HBO series, which is based on the novels, five for now, written by George R.R. Martin, tells the story of the power struggles in a fantasy world named Westeros, in which seven noble families vie for control of the centre of the kingdom, the great hall where the iron throne lies. Seven seasons of the TV series have so far been released (the 8th and final season is about to begin), but before that happens, the team behind 'Game of Thrones' has created a new experience for fans: a travelling exhibition that is set to arrive this month at Barcelona's Maritime Museum.

In ‘Games of Thrones: The Touring Exhibition’, each of the exhibition halls will be devoted to the main scenarios in the series, such as the ice wall and the frozen lands that lie beyond it, the Kingsroad that runs from south to north, and the capital of the kingdom where we can see the Iron Throne Room. All of this world of fantasy will be laid out before us.
