Imatge de ‘Gameplay’

‘Gameplay’ in libraries and civic centres

Due to the exhibition in the CCCB, the Xarxa de Centres Cívics (Civic Centres Network) and Biblioteques de Barcelona (Libraries in Barcelona) are organising activities related to videogames.

From January to April some of the civic centres and libraries in Barcelona are offering activities related to the world of videogames, in order to gain in-depth understanding of the ‘Gameplay’ concept. The exhibition is in the CCCB and will be open until 3 May. You’ll be able to learn about the history and development of videogames and their different aspects, through visits, workshops, fairs and talks organised by the Xarxa de Centres Cívics and Biblioteques de Barcelona and held in the following venues: CC Can Clariana Cultural, CC El Coll, CC Zona Nord, CC El Carmel, CC La Sagrera ‘La Barraca’, Biblioteca Zona Nord and Biblioteca Ignasi Iglesias – Can Fabra.

The activities will be held until 29 April. In February, you will be able to go on a guided tour around the ‘Gameplay’ exhibition organised by the CCCB in the Biblioteca Zona Nord or CC La Sagrera. The visits will be offered on Friday 5 February (6.00 pm) and 14 February (4.00 pm), respectively. You will find further information at the library website and the civic centre website.

In addition, Biblioteca Zona Nord is organising a retro games fair that will take place on Wednesday 19 February at 5.00 pm. Throughout March and April there will be more workshops, visits and even a soundtrack concert. Further information is available at this link.
