Festival Grec

Sant Jordi with theatre, dance, circus and much more with Grec

Come by the Grec booth in front of the Virreina Palace on 23 April and get big discounts on season tickets!

Yes, Sant Jordi is the day of books, but it’s also a celebration of culture in general. Because books are closely tied to theatre, and why not dance, circus, etc., too. So it wouldn’t be a bad idea to take advantage of this holiday to give a loved-one tickets to Grec Festival of Barcelona... or keep them for yourself to enjoy in July.

This Tuesday, 23 April, while you’re wandering La Rambla looking at books, come by the Virreina Palace. You’ll find the 2019 Grec Festival of Barcelona booth. Flip through the programme, choose the performances you’re most interested in to give as a gift or enjoy yourself and... buy yourself a season ticket.

Because, you’ll get a discount if you buy tickets for three or more shows (30% off) or five or more shows (50% off).  Plus, when you get your tickets, we’ll give you a Grec travel notebook for you to write down your impressions of this year’s festival.

If you’re loyal to the spirit of Sant Jordi, when you look at the Grec programme you’ll see many shows based on books: including Paradisos oceànics (Oceanic paradises), based on a book by Aurora Bertrana; Tan poca vida (A Little Life), based on a US best-seller; several works by Shakespeare and the work By heart, which explores the revolutionary potential of words. More information is available on the Grec website.
