Goldmund Quartett

Goldmund Quartett starts off the summer at the Palau de la Música

The award-winning group will perform works by Haydn, Tabakov and Mendelssohn on  July 13th.

Florian Schötz (violin one), Pinchas Adt (violin two), Christoph Vandory (viola) and Raphael Preparatoria (cello) form the Goldmund Quartett, four musicians who, despite their youth, have already taken their talent from Australia to the United States and from China to Norway, and have won awards such as the prize for the best performance by a string quartet at the 2018 Wigmore Hall International String Competition, or the Karl-Klinger Prize at the 2016 ARD International Music Competition in Munich. It was precisely in 2016 that they made their record debut, with an album containing compositions by Joseph Haydn, and two years later they dedicated their new work to pieces by Shostakovich. This summer we will have the opportunity to listen to them at the Palau de la Música. It will be on July 13th at 8 pm, in a concert that is part of the Estiu al Palau i European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO) Rising Stars cicle.

In the recital at the modernist temple, the Goldmund Quartet will perform scores by Haydn, Tabakov and Mendelssohn. From the first, they will take on The Quartet in F minor, op. 20, no. 5.. From the young composer Dobrinka Tabakov, they will take to the stage The Smile of the Flamboyant Wings, a commission made in 2019 by the ECHO Rising Stars, the Philharmonie in Paris and the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden. Finally, the romantic composer from Hamburg will play Quartet No. 6, in F minor, op. 80.
