With these visits, you will be able to discover the building of this headquarters, one of the most important ones in Barcelona.

The company Sternalia invites you to discover the interior of the headquarters of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia (RAMC), a neoclassical building that had previously been the headquarters of the 'Real Colegio de Cirugía de Barcelona' and later, the Faculty of Medicine. You can learn about the history behind the rooms of the building, such as the spectacular anatomical amphitheatre where surgeons were trained, which was built by Ventura Rodriguez. Pere Virgili, Antoni de Gimbernat and Santiago Ramon y Cajal are other names that are also part of the history of the RAMC that you will discover in these visits.
