‘L’Aventure’ by Marianne Chaud opens the IMAPACTE! festival

A film festival for human rights

The IMPACTE! festival premieres its first edition this April.

Cinema is a tool for raising awareness that, through dramatic stories, can spread ideas and denounce injustices. This is the basic principle of IMPACTE!, the Catalan Film and Human Rights Festival, which opens its first edition. Each year, the festival aims to bring a selection of high-value pieces with compelling stories that combine the interest for the content and the quality of the production. Some of the screenings can be seen in cinemas in Girona, Lleida and Sant Feliu de Llobregat, but the main venue will be in Barcelona, at Cinemes Girona, where the entire selection will be screened.

The screenings will take place from April 8 to 11 and the opening session will be L’Aventure (2020), a documentary by Marianne Chaud that premieres worldwide. During the following days, the program brings you other pieces, such as Sanguinetti, Mudjeris di Areia (Women of Sand), Canción sin nombre (Nameless song), Wind, Once Upon a Place, Omar ve biz (Omar and Us) or The Muddy River of Baasim, as well as some short films that will open the sessions, like First of November, The invisible monster, We have a dream, Trapped or Those that are silent. The festival will also have different virtual sessions from April 12 to 25.

Tickets for Cinemes Girona are 7 euros and you can buy them through this link. For more information, visit the festival website.
