“Instint”, with Bonaventura Clotet and Jose Corbacho

On Monday the 19th of May in the BARTS, the actor and the scientist will present a conference entitled "How can we live longer?"

“Life is the only sexually transmitted disease with a one hundred percent mortality rate”, according to Dr. Bonaventura Clotet. A specialist in internal medicine and infectious diseases, Clotet was recently awarded the Josep Trueta medal for healthcare by the Generalitat de Catalunya and has focussed his research on the possibility of extending human life expectancy, based on research into HIV.

On Monday the 19th of May, beginning at 8 pm, Clotet will be presented by actor, director, friend and confidant, Jose Corbacho, to speak about his research over the past 30 years. In a dynamic, entertaining presentation, the doctor will attempt to acquaint those present with his scientific research. Clotet is a professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Barcelona, has written more than 500 articles in specialised media publications and takes part in a number of infectious diseases research groups, some of which he is director.

The “Instint” series began over a year ago, headed by Andreu Buenafuente, Albert Om and The Project, and takes place on a monthly basis in the BARTS. Tickets are priced at 10 euros and may be purchased via the BARTS website.
