La Pedrera celebrates International Dance Day

The Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera brings back some performances from past editions of the Dansa ARA for the occasion.

The Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera is an entity with the aim of creating a fairer future. It seeks equal opportunities, fosters creation, education and research, and brings culture and heritage closer to society. Among their projects is the Dansa ARA, an initiative that supports choreographers and new creators of contemporary dance. They offer young talent a platform to boost new projects as well as bring quality performing arts initiatives closer to the public. On April 29th, the foundation wants to celebrate International Dance Day by recovering fragments of some of the pieces that have participated in the La Pedrera cycle.

The works chosen are very diverse but they all have talent, creativity and innovation in common. You can see Pink Fish by Ana Barrosa, Get No by Irene García, REM. Work in progress by Manuel Rodríguez, Capricis by Àngels Margarit and the company Mudances y Novembre by Roser López Espinosa. These pieces, which normally take place in La Pedrera, can now be enjoyed from home.

The foundation will share this compilation on the 29th at 12 noon on social media through its Facebook and Twitter accounts.
