He stands out as one of the finest actors of his generation, on screen and stage. And he has been awarded plenty of prizes during his career, the most recent being a Gaudí d'Honor prize at the Catalan Film Awards on Sunday 29 January. The session will be a celebration of his award and an opportunity to see 42nd Street, a film closely linked to his career that was chosen specifically for Pou.

The choreography in 42nd Street was staged by Busby Berkeley for Warner Bros and the film became one of the hits of the 1930s. Its title was appropriated by Pou for a radio programme on musicals, a film genre that he is particularly fond of and which he presented for almost fifteen years alongside Concha Barral.
