Rita Payés and Elisabeth Roma

Latest appointments for jazz lovers

The Barcelona International Jazz Festival reaches the final stretch with concerts such as Tomatito Sexteto.

With a resounding success, the Barcelona International Jazz Festival comes to an end with a few tickets available. Unfortunately, concerts such as The Charlie Parker Legacy Band or Sílvia Pérez Cruz have already sold out, but don't worry because you still have some appointments to attend. On Wednesday, April 21, the Sala BARTS hosts the concert of Rita Payés and Elisabeth Roma where they present their new album, Como la piel. Trombonist and vocalist Rita Payés signs this album accompanied by her mother, guitarist Elisabeth Roma, and together they will offer you a unique concert.

Next month is the turn of Tomatito Sexteto, who had to postpone the date until May 26. At the Palau de la Música Catalana you will attend a night of duende and emotions with Tomatito accompanied, among others, by his son José del Tomate and Israel Suárez Piraña. Another postponed concert that has a new date is that of Brad Mehldau, who will also play at the Palau on June 9. The pianist will reunite you with pieces from his latest album Suite: April 2020, born during the pandemic. Also remember that the Estrella Morente concert has been postponed and will take place on November 12.

Ticket prices range from 18 to 45 euros and you can buy them through this link. More information on the festival website.
