The exhibition intends to approach the research being carried out in some of the 7,000 existing rare diseases
Menys rares ("less rare") will be open until April 24, at Biblioteca Sagrada Familia Library (Provença 480, Barcelona). The exhibition presents some of these diseases, explains how many people are affected and highlights the work of research groups working in this field, often in collaboration with other international research groups.
The aim of the exhibition is to show society what rare diseases are and all the work that has benn carried out to mitigate the effects of rare diseases on those who suffer them. Through specific cases such as Lowe, Wolfram's, or Williams syndrome, the sample discloses some of the most outstanding research on this field.
