Say it Loud at Castell de Montjuïc

Live shows and music at 'Say it Loud'

'Say it Loud' lands at Castell de Montjuïc with Barcelona’s best musical offer.

The pandemic has brought a sea of cancellations to many sectors, and the cultural scene has been particularly badly hit. Now that things seem to be improving, Quesoni cooperative and Castell de Montjuïc are presenting the project Say it Loud, a weekend with the best music in Barcelona. The first night will be on Saturday, 5 June. The event will kick off at 7 pm with Mash Masters, who are passionate about Jamaican and Caribbean music. They will be playing again at the end of the night. Jazz players Rita Payés & Elisabeth Roma and the rhythms from Rodrigo Laviña and its Combo will bring special live performances too.

On Sunday, 6 June, shows will start at noon with a family-friendly street play presented by the theatre company Anna Confetti, under the name A la Fresca. The rest of the day will consist of two performances by Hip Horns Brass Collective, a young funk, hip hop and soul band from Barcelona, and more than four hours of music organized by producer Rebelmadiaq Sound System, with DJs and musicians Sonido Tupinamba, Genius T, Freedom Cry Sound, and Rebelmadiaq himself. Pop and folk music project Tarquim will close the event.

Tickets for Saturday's shows are on sale for 12 euros, while tickets for Sunday's shows are free. Booking isn’t necessary, though access will be limited, with entries on a first-come, first-served basis.
