Llibreters a Casa recommends readings for confinement on Twitter

Booksellers at home: recommendations from the experts

Owners and staff of Catalan bookstores recommend readings to pass the confinement from home.

Reading is one of the most popular activities in these moments and, although the bookstores are closed to the public, their doors remain open on the Internet. This is how the initiative Llibreters a Casa came about, a Twitter account where you can find readings recommendations made by the staff of small and medium sized bookstores in Catalonia. La Impossible, la Llibreria Documenta, la Llibreria A Peu de Pàgina, La Font de Mimir, La Carbonera o La Inexplicable are some of the bookstores in Barcelona that have already participated in the initiative, and many more are yet to be added.

And if you don’t have the books the bookshops are recommending? Apart from being able to use online book platforms such as eBiblio, there is also this new option: Llibreries Obertes. On this website, you can buy the book that you want and choose your reliable bookstore so that, when they open again, you can go and pick it up. In this way, businesses will have some income during this turbulent period and it can be the prelude to a slightly different Sant Jordi.

Now you know there is no excuse not to find a good book for these days. Don't miss a single tweet from Llibreters a Casa and find reading recommendations for all ages.
