Lluís Homar is back to the Teatre Borras with Angel Guimerà's classic

“Terra Baixa” opens the new season of the theater until 18 October, after the acclaim and criticism of the past season

After winning the Max Award for best leading actor, Lluís Homar hows again his skills as a master interpreter in the second season of Terra Baixa in the Teatre Borràs.

The director Pau Miró, who adapted the work with Homar, reviews the classic by Àngel Guimera in a revealing and surprising theater proposal, that becomes a one-man version of the piece.

Homar takes the four main roles in the play, operating alone on stage: the naive shepherd Manelic, coming down from the high ground to marry Marta, the girl working in the mill, the mill's owner, Sebastian, and Nuri, a friend of Manelic. The four end up wallowing in the mud of the most troubled human passions, the Terra Baixa.

This deconstruction of Guimerà, with four voices to one actor, dares to rotate the classic Catalan text, that returns accompanied by the roar of the applauses from last season.
