“L’objecte”and “Entrevistes”: delving into the figure and works of Antoni Tàpies from home

The Antoni Tàpies Fundation continues suggesting contents related to the artist on the #joemquedoacasa programme.

The Antoni Tàpies Fundation continues to offer numerous online resources in the special #joemquedoacasa programme, which began the past 13th of March, and which allows you to go into the artist’s work.

Two of these resources are the virtual exhibition “The object” and the section of “Interviews”. In “L’objecte”, you can find fourteen of the artist’s creations such as “Collage con azufre” (1966), “Pila de platos” (1970), “Cuchillo y trozos de cartón” (1971), “Armarioi” (1973) or “Colchón” (1987). Each creation is accompanied by his own insight extracted from books like “Conversations with Antoni Tàpies” from Barbara Cato, “Tàpies” by Roland Penrose or “Memoria personal. Fragmento para una autobiografía” written by the own artist.

And in “Entrevistes” you can find two interviews that the Antoni Tàpies Fundation made on occasion of the release of the book “Tàpies. Biografía de un compromiso”, which was edited by Grupo Enciclopedia along with the Foundation itself. Xavier Folch and Antoni Llena describe their personal relationship with the artist and talk about the role that Antoni Tàpies had in some of the most important political events against Francoism.

“The object” can be accessed via this link and “Interviews” through this link. It is also very recommended to visit the Youtube channel of the Fundation, with more than 150 videos.
