The Marc Parrot trio in a ‘Refugi’ concert inside the yurt

Marc Parrot’s ‘Refugi’

Centre Cívic Albareda is going to host one of the concerts in the singer’s tour.

Refugi, Marc Parrot’s 11th album was released in 2018 and he has been on tour since September of that year, when he put up his own marquee in the Vic Live Music Market. Since then he has taken his show to many places in Catalonia and in July 2019, he performed in Barcelona in the Grec Festival. He is now returning to the city with a slightly different concert format. This album of songs of a more intimate nature travels around Catalonia with a yurt, a mobile home in the form of a marquee with a wooden structure and felt roof that was traditionally used by nomads in Central Asia. Marc Parrot uses this marquee to create the atmosphere required by the album’s music, although it will not be used for the cycle of five concerts held in civic centres around Barcelona.

However, during his performances in Barcelona you will have the chance to listen to tracks that he doesn’t usually play on the Refugi tour, which will be performed by a trio, a different way of enjoying this new CD. You can see Marc Parrot in Centre Cívic Albareda of Poble-sec, on Friday 28 February at 8.00 pm, in a concert that forms part of Barcelona Districte Cultural.

Tickets are free and there is limited capacity. You will need to book your tickets (maximum of two per person) by clicking on this link or phoning 934 433 719.
