“Marry Me a Little”, in the Teatre Lluire, Montjuïc

This musical revue contains compositions by Sondheim, stars Mone Teruel and Toni Viñals and can be seen up until the 22nd of December

The name Stephen Sondheim is synonymous with musical theatre excellence. Among other accolades he has received nine Tony awards (the equivalent of Academy Awards but relating to performing arts), more than any other composer, in addition to recognition by a faithful public who have been attending musicals bearing his signature since the mid-fifties.

The presence of Marry Me a Little on the Barcelona stage is therefore a significant event. The musical revue was originally conceived by Craig Lucas and Norman René and consists of a love story between two lonely New Yorkers. It is pieced together from a selection of songs taken from the composer’s better-known works and revolves around a finely-honed storyline designed to accentuate the talents of the two protagonists. A must for all fans of musical theatre.

Following the performance on Sunday the 8th of December the cast and crew will join in a chat with the audience.
