Imatge de la cantaora Lucía Fernanda

May is all about flamenco

The gardens of Palau Robert host a new edition of Flamencat with names such as Alba Carmona, Pedro Javier González, Lucía Fernanda or Muchacho & Los Sobrinos.

The second edition of the Flamencat festival is filling the gardens of Palau Robert, once again, with magic. Starting on the 8th, every Sunday of May will be a grand celebration of life, warmth, and music. Framed within the Festival Guitar BCN and with the collaboration of Radio Tele Taxi, there will be four key performances for fans of flamenco.

The band to kickstart the shows will be Muchacho & Los Sobrinos. Be warned, as it won't be just a concert, but rather a revolution. These masters of Catalan rumba are ready for a row. Through their own songs as well as some great classics of the genre, they will take over everyone’s spirits.

The next date, Alba Carmona on the 15th. She became well known as part of the band Las Migas. But since 2018, she has walked her musical journey by herself – proving to possess one of the most personal and vibrant voices of the new flamenco.

Lucía Fernanda and Pedro Javier González will conclude the round of performances.

Lucía Fernanda, granddaughter of Juan Habichuela and daughter of Antonio Carmona… a true force of nature every time she performs live. The new waves of fusion with urban music have touched her blood. What comes out is magic.

Lastly, the great Pedro Javier González. His wonderful guitar, halfway between flamenco and jazz, will close the festival.

With only 70 double tickets available per show, there is no time to waste as each of the concerts will be worthwhile. Invitations must be requested here from May 3rd for Muchacho & Los Sobrinos; May 10th for Alba Carmona; May 17th for Lucía Fernanda, and May 24th for Pedro Javier González.

Spring without flamenco wouldn’t be a true spring.
