Mercateatre 2016: a Fair for Circus and Entertainment Performances

Jugglers, aerial acrobatics, clowns, cabaret, dance… All kinds of entertainment is on offer in a circus marquee on 2 July from 9.30pm in the Gàbia zone of the Parc de Sant Martí (which lies between Carrer de Menorca and Carrer de Huelva). The 19th Fair for Circus and Entertainment Performances, otherwise known as Mercateatre 2016, is organised by the Centre Cívic Sant Martí.

Led by showmasters Trio Lalala, the performance will take place at a frenetic pace. Attendees will be stunned by the aerial acrobatics of Júlia Farrero and Alba Comella, they will laugh at the humour of Pekenio Náhuel, Ro&Or Cia, David Priego and Concept Art Process, they will enjoy the puppetry of Cia AntiQchas and the dance prowess of Leftovers, and will be left breathless by the aerial circus offered by Le Fil Qui Chante.

And there will be an aperitif for Saturday’s fun: on Friday 1 July at 8pm, at Auditori de Sant Martí, Emanuel Santana will be offering a performance of dance and drama titled Trans in Satnam. Admission is free but seating is limited.
