Robotics and the future in Mobile Week 2020

Over 150 free activities designed to bring technology closer to everybody.

The 4th edition of Mobile Week comes chock-a-block with proposals grouped together under the slogan ‘Technology for Citizens’, aimed towards creating a place where everyone can participate and reflect on technology. The week will get underway on Thursday, 20 February at 6.00 pm in Auditori ONCE with the conference by Joan Pahisa, ‘Té la tecnologia una discapacitat? Construint solucions més inclusives’ (Is technology disabled? Building more inclusive solutions). Dr Pahisa has a PhD in computer science and specialises in natural language processing and software accessibility. This year’s edition will be based on robotics and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and mobility of the future, topics that will be addressed by way of conferences and free workshops distributed around the neighbourhoods and districts of Barcelona. The conferences will be held in three main venues: ImaginCafé, Centre Cívic Cotxeres-Borrell and Antiga Fàbrica Damm, and the workshops will take place on different days in different neighbourhoods, to make sure you don’t miss any.

This year you can also go on a guided tour of Hospital Vall d’Hebron on Monday, 24 February at 5.00 pm. The professionals who work there will explain how the hospital has been built and tell you which technologies are used to make the place safer for patients.

Mobile Week 2020 will take place from 20 February to 1 March. The last day is ‘Family Day’ in Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm with activities designed for the whole family. If you would like more information, follow its Instagram account or view the programme on its website.
