Moritz Feed Dog: where fashion meets film

Organised by the people behind In-Edit, this documentary festival focussed on fashion brands, designers and businesses is celebrating its third edition.

In-Edit was a great idea: a music documentary festival that has proved to be very popular and has become a classic on the city’s cultural agenda. So why not branch out into fashion? That’s how Moritz Feed Dog came onto the scene three years ago.

For this year’s edition, the festival features a total of 10 films. Opening proceedings, on Thursday 30 March, is “Franca: Chaos & Creation” in screening room number 5 at Aribau Multicines, The film is a portrait of Franca Sozzani, the iconic editor of the Italian edition of Vogue, who died last year. The following three days will see the screening of “The 501(r) Jean: Stories of an Original”, a short film on Levi’s most famous garment, “Suited” about the Binder & Keep store in Brooklyn which specialised in made to measure clothes for the local gay and transgender population, and “The First Monday in May”, a documentary on New York’s famous Met Gala, which is organised by Anna Wintour and is considered to be the most important fashion event in world fashion.

You will find information on times, screenings, films and parallel activities such as talks and round table discussions, as well as ticket purchase, on the festival website.
