The Museu d’Història de Catalunya celebrates the 25th anniversary

The museum hosts an open house weekend as well as other online activities.

The Museu d’Història de Catalunya celebrates 25 years, all dedicated to the spreading of history and the conservation of the collective heritage of Catalonia. For this reason, the Museum is organising an open day on February 27 and 28, as well as other online activities. You can visit the permanent exhibition, ‘La memòria d’un país’, and discover the newly opened 18th-century room. This is the start of a year of celebrations that will take place mostly online, such as the quiz game ‘El quiz dels 25 anys’ or ‘Histogamers’, which will recommend historical-themed video games.

One of the activities for the youngest is ‘La memòria d’un país. La història de Catalunya animada’, an audiovisual project that wants to explain the history of Catalonia to the new generations through animated infographics that will be published every month. They have the collaboration of two young Catalan influencers -Joan Grivé and Clara Moraleda- to give a fresh point of view. Soon, the Museum will publish the illustrated chronicle of 10 anys de vertigen on the process of independence of Catalonia, in addition to preparing two major exhibitions, the first of which - ‘Guillén. Màgia a l’espai escènic’- will open on April 20.

The Museum’s website and social networks will update the program of activities around the 25th anniversary. Follow them so you don't miss any news.
