Harlem Jazz Club

Blues at Harlem, every Tuesday

The jazz club has a weekly Blues Jam Session that has become one of the most renowned in Europe because of its high quality.

Barcelona has one of the most deeply rooted black-music scenes, as can be seen in the clubs that have been offering daily live performances for several decades now. One of the most important is undoubtedly the Harlem Jazz Club, in the Gothic Quarter. It has a regular schedule of concerts and one of the most important ones is held every Tuesday: the Blues Jam Session that has become one of the most renowned in Europe. These sessions feature musicians from all over, who are always extremely talented. Hernan “El Chino Swingslide” Senra, one of the most active blues musicians in the city who is known worldwide, is responsible for keeping it going week after week. Plus, he will often play electric guitar and sing, accompanied by Hernan H. Doublebass on the double bass and Oscar Hita on drums, in addition to the guest musicians.

The Blues Jam Sessions are held every Tuesday at 10:30 pm at the Harlem Jazz Club. Concerts are scheduled through the end of February, but you can keep an eye on the website to see when more will be held. This venue will be popular with both blues-lovers and anyone looking to have a fun night and enjoy good music.

Tickets for this weekly activity cost €8 per session. You can get your tickets at the ticket office and find more information on the Harlem Jazz Club website.
