Music in the Parks is one of the most eagerly awaited cycles of the summer

25 years of Music in the Parks

The open-air music season returns this August with adequate safety measures to continue enjoying the best musicians.

After 25 years, the cycle of Music in the Parks is already one of the expected moments of the summer. Initially, the cycle had been suspended due to the situation of the Covid-19, but the organization and the Barcelona City Council have worked to see it carried out, even if it is a smaller edition than usual. During the month of August you can enjoy some exceptional concerts and musicians for free in the gardens and parks of the city, accompanied by classical music or jazz.

Among the names of classical music is Maria Ribera Gibal on guitar, and you will be able to see her on Tuesday August 4th. Maria Ribera Gibal plays Emili Pujol is the album that made her famous and she now brings you this repertoire outdoors. In the same style you can also listen to the Delia Quartet (Thursday 13th), Álvaro Mur (Tuesday 18th) and Azalaïs Quartet (Thursday 27th). Irene Reig will open with jazz accompanied by Héctor Floría 4tet on Thursday 6th, and will be followed by the groups Mac Trio (Tuesday 11th), Four Stable Mates (Thursday 20th) and Alba Careta and Jofre Fité (Tuesday 25th).

The concerts will take place at 8:30 pm in the Park Güell or the Joan Maragall Gardens (Palauet Albéniz). There is no need to make a reservation in advance, but please note that the audience will be accommodated from one hour before the concert starts to avoid crowds. Consult the programme for more information.
