This year’s festival celebrating black music and culture will feature artists like Little Simz, Johnny Osbourne and Yussef Dayes.
Fans of black music and culture will be happy to hear that the Say It Loud Festival is back for the twelfth year with great shows by well-known artists. For years now, the festival has worked hard to present an international, top-notch programme, bringing music to venues all over Barcelona so we can enjoy hip hop, reggae, jazz, soul and afrobeat. Some of the big names this year include none other than Little Simz, Johnny Osbourne, Combo Chimbita, Lone Ranger, Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio and Yussef Dayes, among others. This year’s format is a bit different, however, with two intense days at Fabra i Coats, with seven hours of programming in various spaces reflecting different themes and styles. Plus, like each year, Say It Loud rounds out its programme with free activities at venues all over the city, including chats, exhibitions, family-orientated shows and free concerts.
The 2019 Say It Loud Festival will be held on 18 and 19 October at Fabra i Coats, plus additional programming from 24 to 26 October at Ateneu L’Harmonia and Farinera del Clot. The final days feature free activities like the “El hechizo del groove” exhibition, Back to classics circus and concert by Rebel Diaz, among others.
Two-day tickets for the main festival cost €40 or one-day tickets for €23. You can get them on the Say It Loud website.
