Outdoor concerts in the Música als Parcs series

What better time to enjoy our city’s parks and gardens than in the summer? And what better way than with the Música als Parcs series? For several years, this series has been coupling nature with classical and jazz music played by young performers chosen for their quality. Many citizens aren’t familiar enough with these beautiful green zones in Barcelona, and the series offers the best pretext to explore them. These spaces are the lungs of the city that not only provide room for free-time activities, leisure and rest but are also the habitat of a variety of flora and fauna. To share more about these benefits, some concerts are accompanied by guided tours of the parks which serve as their backdrop. In this way, you can learn more about the history, biodiversity and sometimes even curiosities about these spaces which will no doubt delight you.

The Música als Parcs concerts will be from 31 May to 30 August on different days and at different times in gardens all over the city. The opening session, on 31 May, will feature the promising young jazz musician Eva Fernández, who will present her new record Yo pregunto. She will be followed by many other artists with fascinating music offerings. And one of the new features this year is the addition of the recently-opened Parc de les Glòries to the list of venues.
