'Sugar' is back, this time at the Coliseum

This hit musical is based on the film ‘Some Girls Like It Hot’. .


After appearing at Teatre Gaudí Barcelona, ​​Eixample Teatre and, just last summer, the Tívoli, the musical comedy Sugar is back on stage, this time at Teatre Coliseum, a much larger venue, where it can be seen from 16 February to 1 April.

Sugar is a stage adaptation of Billy Wilder’s classic film Some Like It Hot and features Bealia Guerra in the role played in the film version by the immortal Marilyn Monroe. On stage, she will be accompanied by 16 actors and backed by 5 musicians. Those who have seen the film will remember the plot, which is set in 1930s Chicago and sees two jazz musicians escaping from Mafia retribution by disguising themselves as women and joining an all-girl band.

The musical premiered on Broadway in 1972. The version that can be seen at the Coliseum will be performed in Spanish language and will be directed by Pau Doz.
