New session of "Alternative Screen" with Isaki Lacuesta

As part of the series targeting 15- to 18-year-olds, on the 29th of May in the Sant Martí Auditorium the film maker will speak about his career accompanied by screenings of fragments of previous films and unpublished material from his next film

The series Alternative Screen is a pioneering project in Catalonia and other parts of Spain that offers regular sessions programmed by young film makers between the ages of 15 and 18 who are members of UJAC (Union of Young Alternative Cinematographers) and directed at audiences of the same age group. The third session of the series will take place on Friday the 29th of May in the Sant Martí Auditorium beginning at 7.30 pm and will feature Isaki Lacuesta as the invited guest.

The film maker, who recently released the critical comedy Dying Beyond Their Means, will address the public in a session structured into two parts. In the first part the film maker will speak about his career and his particular method of conceiving and making films, while the second part will be dedicated to his latest film La Propera Pell (The Next Skin) and will include screening of previously unpublished fragments.

Over the course of the session Lacuesta will share details of his work processes with those in attendance: the script, rehearsals with actors, the search for locations, the ins and outs of filming, editing, etc., all aided by screenings of fragments of his films. The session will also include an appearance by Igor Szpakowski, one of the three young actors in The Next Skin.
