Born de Nit

Nocturnal visits to the Born archaeological site

An intimate way to dig deeper into the city’s history.

The Born Center of Culture and Memory does not close for holidays, quite the contrary! This summer the centre can be visited in July and August in a very special way. Apart from their usual daytime timetable, the Born de Nit cycle allows you to explore the centre’s archaeological site during the evening. The site will be lit in way that emphasizes the calm and intimacy of the space and visitors can delve into the mysteries of 18th century Barcelona though a series of three thematic visits: one that investigates the clandestine business underworld in the Barcelona of 1700, a more generic one on the Born CCM and another aimed at explaining how Barcelonians obtained water in the 18th century. There will also be special theatre and storytelling activities for boys and girls, and other daytime activities such as a visit with vermouth included.

All of these activities will take place during July and August. In addition, during the first month, an archeological intervention can be seen at the Born CCM, in a part of the site in which the necessary research has not yet finished.

Admission costs from €5.50 to €13, depending on the type of visit. Tickets can be purchased at Born CCM and you’ll find more information on their website.
