Open day in Poblenou

The fifth edition of Open Day features everything from art galleries to audivisual production companies

For the last five years, the creative community in Poblenou has been getting together at the beginning of May to open the doors of spaces devoted to creation that are normally closed to the public. This Open Day is organised by Poblenou Urban District and this years falls on Saturday 6 May from 12 noon to 10pm.

There will be plenty of activities on offer, as well as special promotions. You will be able to visit art galleries, centres of creation, artists’ studios, audiovisual production companies, centres of gastronomy, shops and hotels. And coinciding with the Open Day, there will be other events such as the Urban District Art Festival, a multidisciplinary contemporary culture festival that aims to promote the network of local cultural and business agents with the idea of offering high quality cultural experiences to the public. Another event is the Makerspaces Circuit, featuring laboratories and coworking organisations related to digital and traditional manufacturing who will carry out demonstrations of robotic manufacturing, 3D printing and laser cutting. Another highlight is the Independent Barcelona Coffee Festival, which is a must for caffeine addicts.

Over a hundred spaces will participate in this year’s Open Day, which will also feature a variety of performances, concerts, DJs and activities for kids.
