Pastora takes to the stage at the Coliseum

The concert on the 4th of May is part of the programme for the Mil·lenni festival

While the latest recording from Pastora was released almost a year ago, following the presentations last summer it would appear to be a good moment to reacquaint ourselves with the band. Una Altra Galàxia (Another Galaxy) was the first recording in which the trio sang exclusively in Catalan, though three of the twelve songs had already appeared either on previous recordings or on compilation records.

The fifth studio album by Pastora, however, maintains the same characteristics as previous recordings, though with a slight evolution. In this case most of the lyrics are written by Dolo Beltrán while Caïm Riba is responsible for the music. The third member of the project, Pauet Riba, provides a more visual aspect to the performances and is always present in the live shows. In this respect, the concert in the Coliseum should be no exception for a band that has accumulated more than fifteen year’s stage experience.

It is worth mentioning that the project began in 1996 when the Riba brothers began working on an audio-visual project, and it wasn’t until the year 2000 when the incorporation of Dolo Beltrán introduced a vocal element into the proposal. The following year saw the success of the song “Lola” and, following this, well, the band’s career path up to the present day is common knowledge.
