'Talents Jazz a La Pedrera'

The rooftop of Gaudí's building will be the setting for 18 evening concerts in collaboration with the Liceu Conservatory and the Taller de Músics.

This summer's evenings will see La Pedrera become the epicentre of jazz in Barcelona. From 2 June to 29 July, the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera has programmed 18 concerts on the rooftop of the building designed by the famous modernist architect Antoni Gaudí. With this initiative, La Pedrera contributes to boosting the city's cultural ecosystem by collaborating with two prestigious educational institutions, the Liceu Conservatory and the Taller de Músics.

Talents Jazz a La Pedrera will start with a free visit to the attic of the whale, where the interpretative space of Gaudí's work is located. This will be followed by a concert on the rooftop, an exceptional setting to enjoy the night, the splendid views of the city and the best live music with a glass of cava.

Every Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m., the cycle will offer different jazz and modern music proposal. The June programme includes performances by the Liceu Big Band (on the 2nd), Víctor Carrascosa Quartet (on the 9th), Liceu Jazz Grup (on the 16th), Eddie Mejia Quartet (on the 23rd), Franki Ramos Sextet (on the 24th) and Eva Verde Quartet (on the 30th).

On 1 July, the Liceu BLAM Collective will perform, followed by the Jazz Sebastian Band (on the 7th), Ensemble X Berlin-Barcelona (on the 14th), Sara Terraza & The Black Sheep (on the 21st), Santi de la Rubia Quartet (on the 22nd), Perico Sambeat & Taller de Músics Ensemble (on the 28th) and Pablo Martín Trio (on the 29th).
