A combination of photography and shops
The Photogenic Festival fills the commercial premises of the Gràcia and Ciutat Vella neighbourhoods.
Perhaps such an original way of seeing a photography exhibition had never occurred to you. The Photogenic Festival is an original way to give visibility to emerging talent in the world of photography: the chosen work is displayed in shops around the Gràcia and Ciutat Vella neighbourhoods, thus creating an exhibition route that benefits the authors, as well as small shops and their products. The objective is to spread the message that culture can and should be within everyone’s reach. Ruta 2020 will be on show for 15 days, from 5 to 19 March, at the same times as the participating shops. In addition, the festival presents All Day Photography with a series of conferences and workshops given by professionals of the industry, addressed to anyone who wishes to learn more about photography. On Saturday 14 March from 11.00 am to 10.00 pm in the Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm, you will be able to listen to people talking about different subjects, such as photography as viewed by women or analogical photography today. The photographer Marta Mas, Victor Supertramp, Isidre Garcia Puntí and Cassandra Stuyt will offer workshops throughout the entire day and this year’s Photogenic winner will be announced.
