Alina Ruiz Folini in ‘Ruido Rosa’

A disassociation between language, voice and gestures

'Ruido Rosa' by Alina Ruiz Folini will be available on October 14 and 15 at La Caldera Les Corts.

Ruido Rosa is not a show but rather a choreographic experience born from the artist's desire to unite sight, voice and hearing in an equal relationship to open narratives and mythologies from the oral imagination. In Ruido Rosa, listening is knowledge, and the limits are blurred, which contributes to the dissociation between language, voice and gesture. This piece, by Alina Ruiz Folini, invites us to deeply listen not only to our senses but also to the different lesbian and queer sensibilities, creating room for reflection on other forms of creation and research that question normative and canonical methodologies. You will find Ruido Rosa at La Caldera Les Corts on October 14 and 15 at 8pm.

Alina Ruiz Folini, born in Argentina, is the creator of this piece, which navigates between performance and research. They are a dancer, choreographer and researcher who identify as non-binary and who see in choreography a method to create new possibilities, to denaturalise, to break habits and to provoke transformation. Folini is a resident artist at La Caldera and has also been a resident artist at other centres, such as the Graner de Barcelona and the Residencias Forum Dança de Lisboa. Their piece Ruido Rosa is the continuation of a series of other pieces, practices and collaborations they started in the 'Proyecto Táctil' and received the support of O Rumo do Fumo, Residencias de Creación to emerging artists in 2020.

General admission to Ruido Rosa is 12 euros, and you can get tickets here. For further information, visit La Caldera's website.
