Sala Montjuïc, when cinema goes up the mountain

Over the course of fifteen nights, classic films and recent hits will be shown outdoors.

With a seating capacity limited to less than half the possible capacity and with the assistants sitting on the grass in previously assigned plots in two-person nuclei. But the magic and spirit of Sala Montjuïc is sure to return during this summer's nights in the Santa Eulàlia Moat at Castell de Montjuïc. This is because the proposal allows you to watch films in the open air in a historical place, and with a programme that both brings back classic titles and shows films that have been recent successes. The latter is the case of the one that opens the movie evening on July 20th: Parasites, the South Korean film by Bong Joon-Ho, winner of four Oscars last February, including Best Film and Best Director.

Parasites will be followed by Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood, Knives Out, Little Women, Joker, North by Northwest, Groundhog Day... Up to fifteen titles that will fill the castle with motion pictures on the nights from Monday to Wednesday until August 19, and always with a musical appetiser. This 2020, moreover, Sala Montjuïc collaborates with the Grec Festival de Barcelona with four nights of Spanish and Latin American cinema, recovering films such as Relatos salvajes and Ciudad de Dios. Els dies que vindran will also be screened, a feature film by Barcelona's Carlos Marques, starring David Verdaguer and Maria Rodríguez Soto.
