Sample of initiatives for Biodiversity

On 7 June, the Palau Robert hosts an event about participatory projects which aim to boost biodiversity

Experimentation and citizen participation is essential for research and culture. The involvement of scientists, professionals and non technical people allow us to bring the scientific method and knowledge to different social groups. Each year, groups of specialists in different biological groups together with Barcelona City Council organize the BioBlitzBcn, an intense period of biological surveying with the participation of all those with an interest in urban nature accompanied by trained naturalists. A part from this annual meetings, there are many other collaborative scientific projects that are conducted throughout the year in the city.

In this show you will discover various initiatives through the Pecha Kucha format 20 x 20, with innovative presentations of 20 slides displayed for 20 seconds each. The event, presented by Samantha Vall (Quèquicom and Lletra petita TV3 reporter) will have other surprises and at the end, the audience and the speakers will enjoy a small snack to share experiences.

The event will take place in Palau Robert (Passeig de Gracia 107 Barcelona) from 19 to 21h.
