September in Barcelona is Time for Jazz

4 to 29 September will see performances by contemporary jazz groups at venues all around the city

For 26 years and counting the Time for jazz cycle has been bringing local jazz artists to venues all around Catalonia. Open air concerts feature here alongside gigs in clubs and other unique venues in Barcelona.

This year’s programme features 11 performances, among which we would like to highlight the concerts scheduled at Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia. On 4 September Abrié-Cordero, a duo made up of singers and bassists Gemma Abrié and Miquel Àngel Cordero will be playing there at 12 noon. On the same day at 1pm, Albert Bello & Oriol Saña Quartet will be presenting their latest work Boston Bridges.

The same venue will see new performances on 11 September (Marco Mezquida & Manel Fortià i Xavier Dotras Trio), 18 September (Martin Leiton Trio and Diana Palau & Joel Moreno Project) and 25 de September (Elisabet Raspall & Dani Pérez Duet and Néstor Giménez). Also look out for a concert at the Café at the Liceu Conservatori on 29 September at 9pm featuring the Ignasi Terraza Trio.
