Extraordinary evenings at the finest houses in Barcelona
The Cases Singulars project, which offers guided visits to important buildings in the city, is now starting a programme of evening visits, complete with concerts and a glass of cava.
The tours offered by Cases Singulars are one of the most enjoyable ways imaginable of exploring Barcelona’s architectural heritage. The idea of this programme is to visit historic buildings in the city, usually Catalan-modernist houses, and take a guided tour of the interior, sometimes in the company of actors in period costume. These visits are usually scheduled for mornings, but a programme of evening tours is being prepared for spring and summer under the name Singular Evenings. The basic idea of visiting a unique house is the same, but with an added extra in the form of a glass of wine and a concert.
There are two sessions scheduled for the coming weeks. The first is at 6.30pm on 23 May at Palauet Casades. The order of the activities will be a concert first, followed by a tour of the house when the sun goes down. The following day, the same thing will happen at Casa Rocamora. At the moment there are no further confirmed dates, though more are expected.
