The ‘Sis Solos Soles’ production team has filmed all the shows behind closed doors

Sis Solos Soles, micro-opera at the Liceu

The Gran Teatre del Liceu will film the project behind closed doors and upload it to its YouTube channel.

The ‘Sis Solos Soles’ project by the Gran Teatre del Liceu will be available from Sunday 15 November. Together with Òpera de Butxaca and Nova Creació, the theatre has produced these six micro-operas for a female performer and an instrumentalist, which were to be premiered the same weekend. Given the health restrictions, the Liceu has decided to film the shows behind closed doors and post them on its YouTube channel, open to everyone. ‘Sis Solos Soles’ are six monodramas starring six different women who are trapped in their domestic environments.

The performers of these micro-operas are Elena Tarrats, Lídia Vinyes-Curtis, María Hinojosa, Elena Copons, Marta Fiol and Dolors Aldea, and they tell the stories of women who are prisoners of their own minds, with nawadays problems such as the fear of losing phone signal or the confrontation of a trauma. They feature music by Agustí Charles, Mario G. Cortizo, Raquel García-Tomás, Joan Magrané, Lucas Peire and Francesc Prat, and librettos by Cristina Cordero, Oriol Pla, Marc Rosich, Victòria Szpunberg and Helena Tornero.

You’ll find all six shows available on the Liceu’s YouTube channel from 5 p.m. You can follow them on Twitter or Instagram to stay tuned for new projects and other content.
