The soundtrack of 'Stranger Things' live at Barts
Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, the composers of the soundtrack for the iconic Netflix series, will perform its most iconic passages in a very special concert.
Stranger Things has quite possibly been one of the most widely seen and commented recent TV series. Its two seasons on Netflix have created a cult following that reflects, above all, a wave of nostalgia for the audiovisual culture of the 1980s. It’s basically a horror series featuring teenagers, recalling films like ET, The Goonies and Stephen King’s novel It. And one of the most charismatic elements of the series is its soundtrack, a set of electronic pieces composed by two American musicians, Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, both member of the SURVIVE group, who pay tribute to vintage soundtracks by composers like Giorgio Moroder and John Carpenter. Now, the soundtrack of Stranger Things will be performed live at Sala Barts.
This concert is a preamble for another one, which will take place during the upcoming edition of the Primavera Sound Festival. But this first concert promises to be a more intimate affair, in which Dixon and Stein will use their synthesizers to will take us on a trip back to the sounds of the 1980s, when the music of the 1980s was imagining the future.
