‘Storm’: sound art at the Picasso Museum

Until 1 April, the artist VACCA is presenting an installation in the Museum's Pati de Finestres that simulates the approach of a storm.

Barcelona’s Picasso Museum has a comprehensive approach to art that goes beyond the exhibition of paintings and sculptures. There’s more to contemporary art than the purely visual disciplines, and one example of that is sound art, which is sound understood as an aesthetic material to be heard in a specially prepared environment with a purely aesthetic and intellectual intent, rather than recreational or even "musical". Until 1 April, the museum will be hosting a sound art installation titled Storm created by VACCA, an artist from Granollers who is specialized in this kind of artistic language.

In the installation, VACCA aims to recreate the approach of a storm through speakers placed strategically around the Pati de Finestres courtyard.
