The Streets of Poblenou Fill with Creativity

The tenth edition of Poblenou Open Night arrives with a diverse program to enjoy cultural offerings on November 24.

Art, design, music, interior design, sculpture, video projections, photography, floral art, jewellery, illustration, performances... All of this is what Poblenou Open Night brings together with multiple activities related to these fields. An initiative by Poblenou Urban District, this event will take place on November 24, from 7 pm to midnight.

More than fifty spaces associated with the Poblenou Urban District open their doors for you to discover the community of the Creative District of Barcelona. These spaces include art galleries, museums, training centres, gastronomic venues, concept stores, workshops, concerts, and more.

Poblenou Urban District will have its own space, the Urban Club, bringing together art, music, and gastronomy. Music will take centre stage with programming as part of the Music Urban Circuit (MUC), a musical circuit aiming to showcase new local artists and allow them to perform in neighbourhood venues. From the performances, different winning proposals will have the chance to play at Razzmatazz, Bridge 48, and Poblenou Urban District in the spring of 2024. In addition to music, there will also be an art zone and a gastronomic proposal from Trikini.

But that's not all. Get ready to enjoy a journey through art, design, and creativity to discover recent projects, catalogues, exhibitions, and audiovisual projections in museums, galleries, and architectural studios in the neighbourhood such as Artesi, Disseny Hub Barcelona, Galeria Chez Xefo, Ket Galeria, La Plataforma, L&B Gallery, Medio Design Studio, or Palo Alto Barcelona.

Scenic and musical talent will also be present at the event, including the laboratory and reference space for emerging music in the neighbourhood with Bridge 48, which will host performances by women in the electronic music world, as well as DJ proposals with Codigo Sound, SAE & CEV Barcelona, The Hoxton Poblenou, and BACANAL produced by Van Van Food, as well as Sala Beckett.

The neighbourhood's training centres will also offer activities and shows, such as the free watercolour workshop with Aparto Pallars Barcelona, a vertical dance demonstration with SouLivre and aerial dance with OnairBarcelona, as well as an afternoon of barbecue and activities related to the world of cinema, 3D, concept art, animation, and video games with FX Barcelona Film School. In addition to other proposals by Barcelona School of Creativity, BAU, Institut d’Arquitectura Avançada de Catalunya (IAAC), Fab Lab Barcelona, Idem Barcelona, and Manuvision.

You will also have access to conceptual stores and exhibition halls related to fashion, plants, tattoos, furniture, and art with Casa Pampa, FEOS Poblenou, LUSINI Showroom, Mietis, Moriarty Posters, Noak Room, and Unusual* Concept Store.

Gastronomy couldn't be left out, so you can taste the best cuisine with over twenty spaces offering everything from traditional and homemade dishes, vegan, Asian and Peruvian cuisine, to restaurants specializing in omelettes and croquettes, as well as places to enjoy beers and cocktails.

Take advantage of Friday night to experience the creativity of the Poblenou district from multiple perspectives, thanks to the activities that will take place at Poblenou Open Night. The hours are from 7 pm to midnight, and admission is free. For more information, you can check the schedule on the Poblenou Urban District website.
