La Caseta del Migdia

Sunsets, music and food at La Caseta del Migdia

Great views from Montjuïc plus with rumba, flamenco and electronic music to liven up the summer nights.

Where can you get the best views of Barcelona? Many people would surely answer Montjuïc, and they wouldn’t be wrong. This panorama is even more spectacular at sunset, as the mountain faces just the right way to make it spectacular. Tucked away atop Montjuïc we find the Mirador del Migdia, a clearing with privileged views looking out over the city. But, if aside from enjoying the view of Barcelona from on high you also want to enjoy the shade or the night air with good music and a drink or some food, you’ll also find a restaurant here: La Caseta del Migdia.

Every day of the week starting on Wednesday, through September, there are concerts scheduled in all different styles. On Wednesdays, you can enjoy an evening of rumba with Sardines & Rumba. On Thursdays, Javier Verdes brings his music collection to liven up the nights.  Fridays are the domain of Professor Angel Dust, a very well-known DJ, and on Saturdays music producer Diego de Lippo will be at the turntables. The week comes to a close on Sundays with flamenco by Esperanza Cortes. La Caseta del Migdia is open Wednesday through Sunday until well into the night. On weekends, they also serve lunch, so you can enjoy the views during the day.

Mirador del Migdia is a public space, but if you want to be in the La Caseta del Migdia area, you have to order something. More information is available on the restaurant website.
