Nomadic art across Barcelona's neighbourhoods

Temporals is a circuit of itinerant exhibitions to establish a dialogue between art and territories.

Temporals is the new circuit of itinerant exhibitions that moves through the different neighbourhoods of Barcelona to create actions, activities and artistic experiences that dialogue with the territory closest to the centre that hosts them. This way, the programme works with the immediate communities, encouraging audiences to interact with local artistic experiences. In addition, in 2022, there will be a call for artistic proposals within all types of fields covered by contemporary art – and seven of them will be chosen to be a part of the 2022 programme. Some of the characteristics of these proposals should be itinerancy, meaning they must be adaptable to different centres, and cultural mediation. The cultural centres taking part in the programme are CC Convent de Sant Agustí (Ciutat Vella), CC Casa Elizalde (Eixample), CC Cotxeres de Sants-Casinet d’Hostafrancs (Sants- Montjuïc), CC Joan Oliver-Pere Quart (Distr. Les Corts), CC Pere Pruna (Distr. Sarrià-Sant Gervasi), CC Guinardó (Distr. Horta-Guinardó), CC Sant Andreu (Distr. Sant Andreu), CC Farinera (Distr. Sant Martí), CC Can Basté (Distr. Nou Barris), CC Navas and CC Baró de Viver (Distr. Sant Andreu) and CC Pati Llimona (Distr. Ciutat Vella).

In fall, it will still be possible to see some of the projects chosen in 2021. Evidència, latència i transparència will open on September 15 at the CC Casa Elizade, a collective exhibit based on the study of violence. On the same day, at the CC Joan Oliver "Pere Quart," Púber will be premiering. It explores the socio-cultural practices of adolescents through portraiture. A little down the line will be the opening of El capitalisme. Ego i Ésser at the CC Casinet d'Hostafrancs on September 21, L'opinió dels altres era molt més important at the CC Can Basté on September 22, Relats revelats at the CC Farinera on September 30, and Different shades of blue at the CC Pere Pruna on October 7.
