The tenth edition of Gamelab Barcelona kicks off
The International Conference on Videogames and Interactive Entertainment will take place from June 25th to 27th
Gamelab Barcelona kicks off this Wednesday, the 25th of June. In this, the tenth edition, the international videogames conference will offer presentations by industry leaders and a series of conferences that will place the event among the best in the world.
The first session begins with a welcoming address which will be followed by exclusive chats with some of the biggest names in the videogame industry. As part of the event, roundtable discussions will analyse some of the more independent studios and smart platforms.
In addition to the presentations, the event will also serve as a showcase for international studios and sponsors, and will include an exhibition area dedicated to fifteen Spanish independent studios that will present their latest games and participate in a twenty-minute programme of micro-talks which will take place on Wednesday and Thursday.
Participating Spanish studios include A Crowd of Monsters, Aheartfulofgames, Deconstructeam, and Super Awesome Hyper Dimensional Mega Team.
The conferences will approach such topics as the future of mobile entertainment, the development of a multi-platform game powered by Java and HTML5, indie generalities, how to migrate Unity3D to Windows Phone, the Spanish-speaking mobile phone game market, financing opportunities, traditional games, and Amazon in the game industry, among others.
