Three enchanting evenings at Montjuïc Castle

We’re already noticing a rise in temperatures that heralds the arrival of the summer heat, and that marks the officially opening of the season of nightly activities outdoors, the best way to hang out in Barcelona without suffering too from the heat and humidity. Among these activities, there is one that is perfect for counterbalancing the most intense heat and it’s at Montjuïc Castle, where the heat always seems a little less intense, especially when night falls. On three Friday evenings, under the name Nights at the Castle, you will able to enjoy circus and cabaret acts, together with music, from 2 to 16 June.

The first night belongs to Combinat de Circ 53, offering a kind of selection of the best moments of circus acts performed in recent years, including acrobatics, trapeze artists and juggling. The second night, on June 9, will feature "The Last Cabaret" by the Mistu Kiku Company, which is a modern, provocative play, featuring interaction with the public, which is designed as a series of sketches that revolve around the idea of taking one’s time and enjoying life. Finally, June 16 will see a concert by The Excitements, a group that revives the vibrant sounds of black America of the mid-twentieth century, rhythm & blues, soul and funk.

All activities are free, but get there early. The doors will be open from 8pm on.
