Still from the film ‘Actrius’, by Ventura Pons

Tributes and memories in the series ‘Sessions Especials’ of the Filmoteca

Every year, the Filmoteca de Catalunya offers sessions to retrieve films from the season, from other series or special premieres.

You already have the schedule for the ‘Sessions Especials’ for August and September of the Filmoteca de Catalunya. What can you watch? To begin with, you can watch again two of the pieces that could be seen on the ‘Amarcord Fellini’ series that took place in early 2020. In addition, they also accompany the end of the ‘David Lynch. Somnis: tribute to Fellini’ exhibition. The films are Otto e mezzo (August 27 at 4.30 p.m.), a classic by Fellini himself from 1963, and Joaquín Soler Serrano's interview with the Italian director in 1977, A fondo - Federico Fellini (August 29 at 8 p.m. and August 30 at 7 p.m.).

At the end of September, a French session will take place with La Journée de la jupe (The Day of the Fairy) by Jean-Paul Lilienfeld, on Tuesday 29 at 6 p.m., a session suggested by Rella, an association of retired teachers, to celebrate its 10th anniversary. And finally, on Wednesday 30 there will be a double session: at 6.00 p.m., three short films will be shown on the occasion of the Premi Film-Història 2020, and at 8.00 p.m., Actrius by Ventura Pons will be screened in tribute to Rosa M. Sardà and Josep M. Benet i Jornet.

The general admission of the Filmoteca is 4 euros and you can buy them on its website from the link of each session.
