“Vermouth & Swing”, in the MEAM

Every Saturday up until the end of September the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) is offering concerts by well-known swing artists from the Barcelona scene

Every Saturday up until the 27th of September, the Museu Europeu d’Art Modern de Barcelona (MEAM) is presenting a series of concerts entitled Vermouth & Swing featuring local genre artists. The series has been organised by the pioneering Barcelona radio show, La Hora del Blues, and offers a combination of music, entertainment and art in the open air in the patio of the museum.

During the month of August, Vermouth & Swing will feature the Lluis Gómez Swing Trio, with Lluis himself on banjo and violin, Oriol González on guitar and mandolin and Maribel Rivero on double bass, while in September the reins will be handed over to August Tharrats on piano, Nono Fernández on double bass and others.

All concerts will take place on Saturday at 12.30 midday in the Museu d’Art Modern and tickets are priced at 11 euros, which includes an aperitif and entrance to the museum. More information on the Vermouth & Swing concerts can be found here.
